Edery, R. (2016). Hear Me Sing: Book I.
In
Hear Me Sing: Book I, Rivka Edery charts a journey through the pain of unrequited love and abandonment. This collection of songs is a powerful celebration of a heart that remains grateful even after rejection, and a love that abides despite the trauma of being forsaken.
Edery transforms the cruelty of solitude into a glittering landscape of wonder. Here, whimsical healing partners emerge - wise crones, ancient goddesses, trolls, and monsters - to prove that we are never truly alone. These poems are a testament to a love that not only survives but prevails, finding wholeness in the most unexpected places.

Edery, R. (2013). Trauma and Transformation: A Twelve Step Guide.
For those who have survived trauma, the path to recovery can feel overwhelming. Dr. Rivka Edery’s Trauma and Transformation: A Twelve-Step Guide offers a clear and compassionate framework for healing.
This guide directly addresses the profound consequences of surviving trauma by exploring essential questions: Why must healing begin with acknowledging what happened? How can a survivor formulate an effective recovery plan? And what is the role of spirituality in the healing process? The book provides a structured, step-by-step approach to help readers navigate these challenges and move toward wholeness.

Between Self and Parts:
A 30-Day Journey of Self-Discovery with The U-Model™: ACT & IFS
Purchase: https://a.co/d/eM6xPjr
As a Psy.D. and LCSW with over 16 years of trauma-informed experience, I developed this workbook to provide a tangible, step-by-step guide to applying The U-Model™ framework for both clinicians and clients. By integrating the deep parts-work of Internal Family Systems (IFS) with the functional flexibility of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), this resource serves as a practical roadmap for transforming complex trauma into lasting resilience.
Transform Your Relationship with Your Inner World: A 30 Day Start
Have you ever felt caught in an inner struggle - one part of you striving for growth, while another holds you back with doubt, fear, or old wounds? You’re not alone. Between Self and Parts: A 30-Day Journey of Self-Discovery with The U-Model™: ACT & IFS by Dr. Rivka Edery is your compassionate guide to finding peace, clarity, and purpose within.
This transformative workbook invites you to explore the hidden parts of yourself and step into the calm, confident leadership of your most authentic Self - in just ten to fifteen minutes a day.
A Powerful Fusion of Healing and Growth
Between Self and Parts weaves together two proven therapeutic approaches into a practical, life-changing journey:
-Internal Family Systems (IFS): Discover your inner “family” of parts. Your protective Managers (Niggle Parts), impulsive Firefighters (Skitch Parts), and the tender, wounded Exiles (VelFire) they shield. Learn to listen to them with curiosity and compassion.
-Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Embrace your thoughts and emotions without struggle, and align your actions with your deepest values, even in the face of discomfort.
Together, these approaches empower you to heal old wounds, quiet inner chaos, and live with intention.
The U-Model™: Your Path to Wholeness
Dr. Edery’s innovative U-Model™ guides you through three transformative phases, making self-discovery approachable and profound:
1.
Descent (Days 1–10): Meet your protector parts—the inner voices that keep you safe but may hold you back. Understand their intentions with kindness.
2.
Empathy (Days 11–20): Journey to the heart of your inner world, offering healing and acceptance to your wounded parts (Exiles).
3.
Ascent
(Days 21–30): Rise as your core Self, leading your inner system with clarity and living a life true to your values.

The Soul Made of Scars
10/9/25 ©Rivka Edery. www.rivkaedery.com
Inside, I was broken into pieces,
shattered by a pain from long ago.
A hurt child was inside me, holding a broken doll,
and an angry teen was swallowing screams.
To stop the hurt, parts of me became guards,
standing by my heart saying, You will not break again!
Other parts were wild, trying to numb the pain,
to burn away the bad memories with noise and fire.
Then, the true Me appeared, quiet and kind.
Self didn't come to fight, but to heal.
A confusion to tired, weary, and broken hearts of parts long forgotten
Self-held a gentle light and whispered to all their pain,
“Show me everywhere you are hurting”, and I will patiently witness
And all the old sadness came tumbling out, like orphans held for the first time
The lost parts cried, We shattered when we were obliterated into our dungeons
When the love we needed turned to cruel, cold silence.
Self gently stroked them all, in a gentle hug that felt like Angel’s Love
I cannot undo these wounds, nor quickly stitch them up
Healing is slow, without an agenda, order, or control,
It is like sunlight touching a scar.
Love must trace every single crack
until the aching finally feels heard and held
Slowly, I built a home inside myself.
The broken pieces were not thrown away,
but remade into something new and beautiful.
The sad child learned to play again,
the angry voice learned how to sing a song.
Grief, the artist, took my broken parts
and made them into a stained-glass window.
Now the light shines through the lines where I was broken,
painting my soul with peace.
I am all of it: the breaking, the fire, and the healing.
Maybe like you, my soul is whole, with all her scars,
each fracture a faithful vein
carrying the wild river of who I am in this lifetime
My beautiful Self dancing with my Soul
Both flow fierce and free, a luminous duo
I sense them today, and take time to straighten my crown
Gathering close to me, all my lost ones, whispering,
We are the map, the mend, the endless dawn.
